Facts about Land for Sale in Hawaii Island

Prices do fluctuate here on the big island. For example, in 2005 prices in Hawaiian Paradise Park increased from around $40,000/1 acre to $95,000/1 acre.   Now in late 2009, lots are around $9,000/1 acre in HPP.

North Kohala - on the dry side, can be windy and arid, views of Maui and the Kona coast.
South Kohala - as above, but can have spectacular views of the Kona coast.
North Kona - coffee growing areas at higher altitudes, views, more expensive as closer to resorts.
South Kona - coffee growing areas at higher altitudes, less expensive as farther away from Kailua-Kona.
Kau - beautiful views, can be windy.
